Beacon and Kerberos
Stephanie and Ran share their lives with Kerberos and Beacon, respectively. Kerby is a Miniature Australian Shepherd, and Beacon is a mixed breed. They share the same birthday exactly two years apart!
Both of the dogs have helped to ground our training practices, and have guided conversations around what works for us, for our dogs, and for other people. Just because something is a goal for us doesn’t mean it should be a goal for you; similarly, you may have goals that are not the same as our dogs, and that’s okay! Our dogs remind us regularly that every dog is an individual with its own desires, reinforcers, and environment.
Ensuring that these dogs enjoy each other’s company has been a process and a delight. You will see many pictures of them on our Instagram page, and they will feature prominently in our demonstration videos.

What they are doing with their humans
Kerby is learning about the world and how to feel safe and confident in it! Beacon is doing a lot of hiking and sniffing out dead things in the woods.
